Football training myths - agility drills improve football agility

Oh the myths surrounding of football training. From the old school "Muscle bound" theory of the "aerobic base" phenomenon is an endless parade of b.s.. how one bigger, stronger and explosive surrounding for football.

One my favorite football training myths is that the use of agility will improve drills, bowling and ladders soccer speed and agility.

The theory seems sound: set up your football agility through the roof cones in increasingly difficult pattern, by you as soon as possible be that ausgefuhrt.Nach of several week and then be outta jukin people ' ' your shoes in no time.

In the old days you ran back only and further by some plugins, now a days, you are forced, that even the most experienced lab rat run through a maze of cones would stump.

First off, let's agility to define.

o agility is the ability to quickly change direction without loss of speed. Agile to be, must be able, large amounts of power and turn on the ground; this is, what is driving in the opposite direction.

However, you miss several key issues.

1. If you are weak, not your agile will make training in the world all agility!

o maximum strength is the foundation of all members of the football training. If you are stronger, you become more agile.Consider it this way - if you 160 kg and Deadlift 200 and your flexibility is currently average.

What do you think allowing you to produce more power? performed by plugins or upping your Deadlift 225 kg?Mind science class? Force = mass x acceleration

2. Improvements in the test are often improved form and all the small "tricks" that can apply one to agility testing times a result.

o of Let's take a look at the popular 20 yards per agility shuttle. On the surface it's not bad test. You have see the very football as ist.Allerdings to change directions and turn and Sprint..., you then way stoop a new player high running this test ausfuhren.Sie, to touch the floor, and sometimes even turn you completely if you hit the plugin.

Now, see someone trained on this drill was obsolete.you Sprint low, short of the cone, touch, stop and advancing in a low position. Those can make huge improvements in the trial period some form changes. There are so many problems with this.
First there was no real improvement in speed. The player was simply better the drill

o Second, training for football we are, no reverse limbo Wettbewerb.Wann be hell ever bent over in a football game? I hope you not, unless you desire on a neck broken!

(3) Is running, and through plugins can cause that the athlete running excessive high knee.

o for all this talk about sport specificity, coach completely ignore, that runs around as a dancer modify current shape and hinder speed is. over time had to do any kind of cutting in a game... think not only that, but you lift your knees up to waist height can ever remember? exactly

Bottom line: Lift more weights and get so can produce more power and faster and more flexible. agility drills have no place in football training! let the plugin for football players or some other sport where make getting the wrong move not eliminated.
